🔼 Cross Country Healthcare and FAU's College of Nursing released their fourth Future of Nursing Survey on AI in healthcare. The study found over half of nurses are cautious about AI, with concerns including empathy loss and job displacement. Despite AI's potential benefits, 74% of nurses haven't used telehealth due to doubts. Most nurses also advocate for better pay and incentives. Cross Country suggests transparency, training, tailored communication, and feedback as strategies to help nurses adopt AI.
🔼 FAU’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing's C-P.A.W.W. program has received a grant from HABRI to study the impact of pet dog ownership on the well-being of adolescents in military families. Led by Dr. Laurie Martinez and co-led by Dr. Cheryl A. Krause-Parello, the research aims to understand how dogs help teens cope with military-specific stressors like parental deployment and frequent relocations. The study will survey adolescents aged 12-18 and expects to find higher resilience and well-being among dog-owning military teens. The findings aim to influence policies and programs supporting children in military families.
